Why Mat Made®?
Kenny has traveled the world teaching and competing in Jiu Jitsu. As he was traveling, he heard hundreds of incredible stories of how Jiu Jitsu had radically transformed people’s lives — stories of people who had overcome PTSD, suicidal thoughts, depression and more.
“I wish I had a camera, so I could share these stories with the world.”
And so, Mat Made was born.
The Founder
Kenny Kim
Kenny Kim is a seasoned and multifaceted martial artist who began his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey over two decades ago, earning a Black Belt under Gracie Jiu Jitsu master and Muay Thai kickboxer Eddie Camden. Kenny resides in Marietta, Georgia with his wife and son, where he owns and operates Kenny Kim BJJ Academy — a premier fitness and self-defense center serving all ages with cutting-edge facilities and a family-friendly atmosphere. Jiu Jitsu shaped his life and his mission: to this day, Kenny travels the world to inspire others and share the thousands of success stories made on the very same mats that carved his own journey.
